Not my responsibility

It is not my responsibility to make myself human in you your eyes.

We all build ourselves a soul, but it is the job of others to look for it. 

If you cannot or do not, then why should I return the favor?

Me being kind is not a stepping stone. I am not a stepping stone. 

Judge me not for my body, for my brain, for my heart. 

Judge me for my actions and my words.

And those who co-opt this message who believe you are more oppressed? 

The ones who conspire with those who would destroy me in the (in)sincere belief of saving me? 

Oppression is not a point’s game. 

You are not saving me. 

You are ignorant and you shall remain ignorant as long as it benefits you. 

You are who cannot see me as human. 

It is not my responsibility to make myself human in your eyes.

I am already human.
