And that's how I write.
I don’t know how to write things shallow,
how to not add beauty in the words I write.
And how to not put songs in these words,
how to refrain from adding a tune to them.
These words I pour have a story
and I don’t know how to write words that don’t sing,
words that don’t make you imagine things that I do.
I don’t know how to untune my words,
I must have dipped them first in my heart
for them to even bleed out here.
These words are all I have and I don’t know
just how much of it I can mold away,
just how much of it I can twist to suit the eyes of a stranger.
